Speaking of mermaids…I am a big fan of playwright Bernard Evslin’s writings. He adds such depth and humanity to his subjects. Here is his version of mermaids, entitled “The Sirens”. A delicious reading based on Greek Mythology (Part of Evslin’s very wonderful, out-of-print series called “The Monsters of Mythology”). Any book from this series make a great gift of imagination.
