Wednesday, December 19, 2012. 9am – 11am.
This morning, our craft group gathered in the cozy little craft room inside The Company of Angels store for tea, lively conversation and crafting. This was to be our last crafting get together of 2012.
We made Christmas stockings from recycled wool sweaters. Stockings were approximately10 to 12 inches in length. We were instructed to bring old sweaters the would accommodate that size. It was recommended to us to felt our old wool sweaters by washing in hot water before our Wednesday craft group get together. The stockings were decorated by felting images and applying appliqués from felt and other sweaters. A fee of $5 allowed us access to old felted wool sweaters, hand dyed felt, colorful rovings and other crafting materials.
Thank you Rachel Skelly and Christine Newell for organizing our lovely craft mornings for 2012 and thank you everyone for your company and inspiration this year!
Have a Merry Christmas and a joyous New Year 2013. See you in 2013!!!
– love, Jzin
