February 27, 2013. A warm and sunny day for al fresco crafting!
Our Wednesday morning craft group met again this morning in the garden of The Company of Angels store to make Art Felt scarves. Gisela and I assembled and photographed our group project, the “Enchanted Woodland Fairy Tale Playscape” blanket to donate to our Waldorf School of Orange County Bliss Spring Gala + Auction 2013.
Thank you so much to Rachel Skelly and Christine Newell for organizing our craft group and preparing materials. Thank you Christine for showing us how to make Art Felt scarves!

A sun savvy crafter, working in the shade!
Pia, Alena and Anicka arranging yarn on Art Felt paper.
Alena rolling up the moistened Art Felt scarf in plastic wrap, preparing to insert in into stocking and to felt in a dryer.
Some of us gathered in the sunny garden to finish up handmade dolls and other crafts.
Alena and Anicka’s Art Felt scarf, made in just one single morning of work! Alena just removed the plastic wrap from the scarf that was in the school dryer (15 minutes agitation, no heat).
Next will come the scalding hot water to dissolve the potato starch based Art Felt paper backing on the scarf.
Oooooh! Kim’s gorgeous handmade Art Felt scarf!
